Me and my husband live in Long Beach and are looking to tag along on a paranormal investigation in the LA area. I have paranormal experiences all the time, possibly have clairvoyant abilities though I am not sure what the precise criteria calls for, let’s just say that spirits seem to manifest when I’m around. My name is Emily Lucitt and I am a graduate student at UCLA in the Department of Anthropology. Under the faculty sponsorship of Professor Douglas Hollan, I am conducting a research project on ghostly experiences and I would love to meet anyone who has experienced the paranormal or are just interested in ghosts. I found this site online and thought it would be a good place to seek out like minded ghost-enthusiasts. As someone with experience/interest in the field or business of the paranormal, I am very interested in your personal experience encountering ghosts or working with others who have had such encounters.
This project mainly utilizes informal interviews for data collection. Thus, I request approximately one hour of your time for a one-on-one or group interview [depending if people wish to be interviewed individually or in a group of similar participants] to discuss your experiences at a location of your convenience. All measures will be ensured to protect your privacy during the interview and to protect the confidentiality of all information gathered. As such, no identifying information will be kept after the interview and only the research team will have access to data. Results of this project will form my MA and potentially PhD theses, and may be submitted to scholarly journals for publication. You will have complete control over what you share with me and what you wish for me to share afterwards. I do not require any follow up interviews or long term activities from you. You can also choose how data is recorded during the interview: tape-recording, video-recording or handwritten notes may be used.

Hi guys. I live in Hollywood and have only recently started doing investigations due to a number of my radio listeners writing to me and asking about the validity of some of these ghost TV shows so I figured what better way than to buy the same equipment they use, go to the same locations they do and see if I (not a professional ghost hunter or paranormal investigator) get the same or similar experiences that they do. I have investigated places like the Shalom Memorial Park cemetery in Sylmar, and the Colorado Street bridge aka “Suicide Bridge” in Pasadena. I have a K2 meter, laser grid pen, two HD Flip cams, digital voice recorder, SB7 Spirit Box, and my Canon Digital camera for still pics. I am currently investing in a couple of HD camcorders that shoot night vision and full spectrum. I’ve been in radio and the music business for over 10 years, and I have been doing more and more video work over the last two years. I use Adobe Audition CS6 for all of my audio editing for the EVP’s but would love some professional tips on using a digital camera for low light (or no light) pictures to capture orbs or apparitions etc. My last trip to Suicide Bridge yielded some very interesting results as we believe we captured a demonic face looking right at us as well as it’s voice caught on the digital recorder identifying itself as “Lucifer”. I am going back there to see if I can confront “it” and see what’s up.

Hi,
Was wondering if anyone has tips on how to get access to haunted locations in Los Angeles. As a teenager, living in Washington State, I would frequently spend my weekends with friends, investigating abandoned locations. It was one of my favorite hobbies. Now that I’m in my late 20’s, living in LA with a full time job and responsibilities, I have no interest in breaking the law (trespassing). However, I (and several like-minded friends of mine) are really interested in scouting some haunted locations, but we’re not sure what the process is to gain access to these places. We’re all respectable adults, but have no credentials or experience. I’ll continue to scour the internet for answers, just thought I would post here, and see if anyone has some info/tips that would help.
P.S. – I’m also interested in joining an established group, if anyone in the Los Angeles area is looking for help.

Hi Paranormal Enthusiasts!
I am interested in doing some paranormal investigations either with an established team or to start a team. I am a psychic medium and can “see”, “hear” and “feel” spirits. I can directly communicate with them. I am interested in documenting them but I have a greater desire to set them at rest by getting them to cross over to the entire side.
