Could this be the creepiest movie of the year?
A24 (Green Room, The Witch, Ex Machina) is getting ready to release their latest horror-thriller, It Comes At Night – and it sure does looks scarily promising.
The film is generating a lot of buzz after its recent premiere at the Overlook Film Festival. SlashFilm has hailed It Comes At Night as “one of the most unnerving and creepy movies of the year” and IndieWire calls it a “paranoid headtrip” and a “top-notch psychological thriller.”
Here’s the synopsis:
Secure within a desolate home as an unnatural threat terrorizes the world, the tenuous order a man (Joel Edgerton) has established with his wife and son is put to the ultimate test with the arrival of a desperate family seeking refuge. Despite the best intentions of both families, paranoia and mistrust boil over as the horrors outside creep ever-closer, awakening something hidden and monstrous within the man as he learns that the protection of his family comes at the cost of his soul.
Ooh, this sounds good (please let this be good)…
