Natalie Portman, Oscar Isaac and Jennifer Jason Leigh star in the mysterious sci-fi thriller.
If you’re a fan of unsettling science-fiction and/or post-apocalyptic horror then you are quite likely familiar with Alex Garland, the writer/director who brought us 28 Days Later and Ex-Machina.
Now, Garland is back in the director’s chair with Paramount‘s mysterious (and apparently, stunning) sci-fi/fantasy spooker, Annihilation.
Annihilation is based on Jeff VanderMeer’s best-selling Southern Reach Trilogy, and stars Natalie Portman as a biologist who searches for her missing husband (Oscar Isaac) while on a dangerous expedition with a secret agency, only to discover a dangerous creature lurking in the wilderness where the laws of nature don’t apply.
Annihilation also stars Jennifer Jason Leigh, Gina Rodriguez, Tessa Thompson and Tuva Novotny, and will hit theatres 2.23.18.
