“Halloween Horror Nights” Opens at Universal Studios Hollywood

Southern California’s most extreme Halloween event is open now, with more mazes than ever.

It’s that time of year, spooky ghoulies – time to get your Halloween scare on. Universal Studios’ famous Halloween Horror Nights opened this week with a special Fan Preview Night and VIP + Media Night (lots of details of which are in the press release below).

We were in attendance and were able to get a first glimpse at many of this year’s 10 (!) mazes (more than they’ve ever had before), including mazes for Us, Ghostbusters, Creepshow, Killer Klowns from Outer Space, and more.

One of our favorite mazes of the evening – and the freakiest – was the Us maze, which perfectly captures the most intense, wildest, and scariest scenes from Jordan Peele’s hit film. It’s super immersive and whittles down the scariest moments from the movie into a truly unique and unsettling experience.

Another favorite was the tech-heavy Ghostbusters maze, which features big, fun moments including a recreation of the firehouse on the outside and on the inside – plenty of Slimer, along with other faves and of course a giant Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man. And there were some great scenes featuring actors both inside and out that added to the fun.

More of our photos from the event can be found on our Instagram and all the further event and opening details you could want are below.

Happy Haunting!
