Don’t say it, don’t think it…
What if the cause of all evil is not a matter of what…but who? The producers of Oculus and The Strangers present this question in the upcoming film The Bye Bye Man, a “chilling horror-thriller that exposes the evil behind the most unspeakable acts committed by man.”
Here’s the official synopsis:
Set in 1990s Wisconsin, when three college students move into an old house off campus, they unwittingly unleash a supernatural entity known as The Bye Bye Man, who comes to prey upon them once they discover his name. The friends must try to save each other, all the while keeping The Bye Bye Man’s existence a secret to save others from the same deadly fate.
Me, personally? I think The Bye Bye Man looks like a freaky good ride. Plus it has Carrie-Ann Moss (The Matrix, Memento) and Faye Dunaway in it, and Doug Jones (Hellboy, Pan’s Labyrinth, Hocus Pocus, Crimson Peak) plays the actual Bye Bye Man, so it all seems promising enough.
