‘The Houses October Built 2’ coming this fall

Surprise!

Haunted house found-footage spooker The Houses October Built freaked us out in back in 2014 with its tale of five haunted-house enthusiasts who run into trouble while searching America’s back-roads for the most extreme haunted houses they can find.

Now, it turns out that a sequel has been shot and will be released this fall theatrically and on demand through RLJE Films.

The original cast and filmmakers are back, including writer/director/star Bobby Roe, along with Brandy Schaefer, Zack Andrews (who co-wrote), Mikey Roe and Jeff Larson.

According to Deadline:

The new pic picks up the five haunted-house enthusiast friends still trying to recover from the trauma of being kidnapped last Halloween by the Blue Skeleton — a group who takes “extreme haunt” to another level. They decide to face their fears in order to move on and go back out on the road to find more haunted houses, but signs of the Blue Skeleton start appearing again.

The Houses October Built 2 is expected to be released in September, just in time for some extreme pre-Halloween thrills.
