  4. I grew up in Montebello, I lived near the Rio Hondo river and often used to
run in there. There used to be a group of devil worshipers many years
ago (1980’s) that would meet south of Washington Blvd in the tall weeds that would grow there. Now this will sound strange but we used to hear what sounded like cannon fire that would seem to come from the riverbed.
I also heard rumors of people seeing mists in the riverbed although I never
did. Has your group heard of the Rio Hondo river bed being haunted. It just use to give me the creeps.

  5. I am sorry I missed your 1/22/2011 event in the LA area. I must say I have been fascinated by the paranormal since I was a child. In 2006, a personal experience that occurred right in the bed with me, transformed the way I look at everything. I always look at the interviewees on Ghost Adventurers and thats where I found your site. Interestingly, I attended high school in Bel Nor home of the child portrayed in Exorcist (my favorite movie) and went to St Louis University (location of portions of the exorcism and where the priest served). While I understand you are no longer accepting permanent members, I would love to hear about upcoming public investigations. I would love the opportunity to explore what skills and gifts I may have to communicate and collect paranormal experiences.

  6. HI Samantha. Linda Vista Hospital is a Historical Landmark and I was up there last week. The Hospital is used by many movie studios to conduct filming. When filming is not being done, you can talk with the security guard and he will let you in for a undisclosed amount (get a hold of me and i can let you know). As you know this Hospital has an extremely large amount of paranormal activity, and should not be taken lightly. Be careful while investigating this location, especially if you are a novice. Happy hunting.

  8. Hey Guys,

A couple of you showed up at the G.H.O.U.L.A. event at the Aztec Hotel on June 13th. I was giving tours of the haunted locales and I feel really guilty that at the time Bobby G was trying to introduce you to me, I was in desperate need of a break. So, my sincere apologies for that. A lot more people showed up at the Aztec than anyone had anticipated (including the hotel staff). Anyway, I would have loved to have visited more. I have posted in the past re: the Pierpont and Mission Inns.

Currently, I am doing a lot of library research on the Aztec, trying to verify some of my EVPs and and corroborate some of the legends surrounding the hotel. Anyway, it is a worthwhile local place for you to investigate.

  12. I have a paranormal group based just outside of Seattle, WA. Our organization, PIHA Paranormal investigations of Historic America (www.pihausa.com) only investigates historic communities, museums and public historical sites in Washington State. PIHA exist for two reasons, the first is our passion for US history and the second is our curiosity about the paranormal. Through our investigations at these select locations, we are able to have the historic site or museum featured by the media. This substantially increases the public interest and results in increased revenue from their visitors. It’s really a win-win situation for everyone.
The reason that I’m writing you is this. We have recently started a new area on our website called “Select State” where we are trying to get legitimate paranormal organizations like yours to identify the museums and public historical sites that you have investigated and include a brief description of the evidence that you were able to obtain. We also want to add a link or your banner back to your web site. This way, anyone who wants to know more about your organization and how to contact you for possible new investigations will be able to. Our goal is to have a multiple listing location, state-by-state of these museums and historical sites (commercial and private) that are open to the public and have had evidence obtained the location is possibly haunted.
It is really an extension of what we are doing in our state. This will significantly benefit the museums and historical sites that were investigated by increased revenue from visitors. It also encourages families to pack a lunch and spend the day with their kids at their local museum and learn about their state and community history. In the process, they will also learn more about paranormal investigating and the people that do it.
What we don’t want are re-written ghost stories that you find all over the internet, but results from a paranormal groups actual investigation. We don’t want to hear about someone’s haunted house or apartment or investigations at cemeteries. Just museums, historical communities and historical sites that are open to the public. As I stated earlier, it’s a win-win situation for everyone. But, without your involvement by submitting your investigation information, everyone loses.
We have worked hard to establish the credibility of paranormal investigating and PIHA to the community leaders, historical societies and museum curators. As our investigation clearly show, we have been successful in this venture. Now we want to take this approach beyond Washington State to eventually include every state in our nation. The only way this is possible is for organizations like yours to contribute their results on this area of our web site. But, without your participation, everything we are trying to do will be a waste of time.
Thanks for reading this message and I hope to hear back from you soon.
    Sincerely, Vaughn

Rose Hills El Portol de la Paz mausoleum has reports of two children in the mausoleum. Have heard laughter early in the am there. Might be interesting to check it out. 19. Hi, I am very curious about the paranormal, I have had a few experiences with spirits in the past. My first experience was in October 2001 at an apartment my wife and I had just moved into. I saw a girl approx. 10 years old manifest herself in the apartments doorway. We lived in the apartment for about 3 years, we had paranormal events take place practically on a daily basis, even our neighbors were well aware of the events of the apartment prior to us moving in. After we lived there for a while was when our neighbors informed us that the apartment was the only one that would come up for rent frequently due to the activity. We moved into my wifes parents house (the house my wife grew up in) and this is where we currently reside. As a child my wife while lying in bed seen an “evil” face appear from her bedroom ceiling, and her two brothers along with her have also stated that a woman in a blue dress frequently walks down the hallway of the house. After living in the house with my wife for about 6 months I too saw this woman walk past my bedroom door. I have two daughters as well, my oldest who is 7 told my wife and I she has seen a green face in the house, (this is the same color face my wife saw in her ceiling when she was a child). Also, during the time my wifes parents lived here, my father in law often said a womans voice would speak to him at night while he slept. This voice had told my father in law back in 2001 that his daughter was pregnant with a girl. He then woke up, tapped my mother in law and asked if my wife was pregnant, she told him no and to back to sleep. The next day my wife and I informed them we were having a baby, which was then when we found out about my father in laws experience, he then added that we were pregnant with a baby girl, and he was right. This house was built in the 1930’s and I cannot get over the fact that I along with my family are always being looked at by someone or something. That being said, I would love to get more involved in paranormal research. If you could be so kind as to give me some info I would really appreciate it. And if you would like to investigate our home we would be more than happy for your help. FYI our home is in Long Beach Ca. I would love an emailed response from you all if you could.
    Thank you
    Robert

  28. I was wondering if you’re accepting any new members. I have over 15+ years experience and have been labeled a sensitive and spirit-magnet by visionaries such as Richard Senate and Michael Koury. My specialties are evp and photographic evidence.
I have been to Linda Vista on many occasions and I have to say that it is the craziest place I have ever been to. In my opinion it makes places such as Camarillo and even Eastern State look like playgrounds in comparison. Everytime I have gone something has happened. Recently I took two investigators who came down from the Seattle area who are both sensitives and although they have been on many investigations, they would not go inside just from what was experienced on the outside.
I have come across everything from the doctor to the little girl on fire here and even had to be pulled out from the kitchen area and brought across the street where I proceeded to “get sick” not to get too graphical.
