Few things have pleased us in the last decade as much as James Corden‘s Carpool Karaoke segments for The Late, Late, Show in which he drives around with various musicians, chit-chatting with them and singing along to their hits. But, we’re particularly in love with his most recent segment featuring Australian-born pop mega-star Sia, because it was revealed within it that the singer-songwriter, responsible for hits such as “Chandelier,” and “Elastic Heart,” is a believer in extra-terrestrial beings.
Quotes Sia, “I only believe in them because I watched a video of the ex-Canadian minister of defence just saying plainly [that] he knows for a fact that the American government are working with five different alien races. And my blood ran cold… that guy is the ex-Canadian minister of defense! He’s not just some guy on YouTube!”
The man she’s referring to is Paul Hellyer, a former aeronautics engineer, military gunner pilot, politician, writer and commentator who served as Canada’s Minister of National Defence from 1963-1967. In 2005, Hellyer publicly admitted he believed in aliens, becoming the first cabinet-level politician from a G8 country to do so. Surely a guy at his level knows something about aliens that we don’t, right?
