Creepy things are stirring over at the BloodList! The 8th annual screenplay list – which features the years’ best unproduced dark genre screenplays and tv pilots – will be unveiled once again this October, but they’ve just released a bloody new trailer along with a cool new site design worth checking out right now!
Founded in 2009 by literary manager and producer Kailey Marsh as a way to bring more awareness to darker genre screenplays and screenwriters, the annual BloodList is voted on by industry executives and includes their top 13 favorite unproduced dark genre feature screenplays, and top 6 dark genre pilots for that year. Featured genres include horror, thriller, sci-fi, dark comedy, psychological drama and dark fantasy.
BloodList has become a go-to resource for dark genre producers searching for the perfect material, and some snatch their next project here first. Past produced films / BloodList alumni include Black Swan (2010), Stoker (2013) and the upcoming The Shallows (2016).
A calendar year for a script to be considered runs from October 31st to the following October 31st, and the list is announced around Halloween annually.
On top of the annual list, BloodList is expanding into a producing, and financing entity.
